So I found myself with some free time, and was able to start on one of those projects I've had on the back burner. Of course, I couldn't possibly be in the mood to do something constructive during...oh, I don't know...the day. **mutter** No, I had to decide to start work at midnight on Christmas Eve.

Ah, who needs sleep, anyway?

Time to completion: about 3.5-4 hours. Materials: Super Sculpey. Tools: my fingers and the tip of a mechanical pencil (Bic, neon green plastic). Based on a sketch I made at work yesterday. Sculpted while laying on my back in my bed with my arms raised above my head (seemed like a good idea at the time, because our house is cold right now and there were blankets...but my biceps and triceps are a bit sore this morning).

I'm rather pleased with the little bastard, especially since I've never, EVER attempted sculpting something even remotely like this before. I mean that literally. I took a ceramics class back in freshman year of high school...I made a couple plates, a lot of bowls, a cookie jar, and a teapot for my mother. That's it.

Three guesses as to what I'm making, and the first two don't count. ^_~

**beams** I'm glad you think so! I actually thought of your art quite a bit when I was sculpting, because I have a lot of admiration for your understanding of animal anatomy (and also how it can combine with human anatomy, in many cases). I'd wondered what your opinion of it would be. ^_^
