Dollshe Saint

Mmm. There are new pictures of the Dollshe OE Saint head (with faceup) on Dollstown. I'm pleased to see it's very similar to the original Saint, nearly identical, even. And there is a production photo of the SA Saint face, too. It's harder to tell in in the SA photo, because of the different materials, but it looks like the new SA face will have a very different eye shape from the 1st and 2nd version SA Saint heads. It seems to really be more of a sleeping face, and less of a squinting/half-closed eyes face. I think I like it, all the same. I'm glad I've already got them on order and paid for.

Um, that's all. No real reason for this post, except to point out the new pictures to people on the flist who may be interested and haven't seen them yet.

Post lots of photos when you get them! :D I've still got the urge to buy a second Saint too, but har har, that will be a while! XD

I will, have no fears! Though it will be a while, since the SA Saint heads are still on "preorder" status.

Oooh! I think the jaw may be a bit square-er on the new Saint. He seems even more charming than before!

*nodsnods* On Saint, I most certainly do.

You know, I hated the sculpt when it first came out, but having seen what people have done with it over the years, I've grown quite fond of it. I don't know that a Saint would survive in my house, but I can always "Ooh! Neat!" them at DoA.

I'm withholding opinion until I see more. The mouth looks smaller to me. That face-up is godawful. I miss the tenisya minimalistic look. But...I want him - badly! Can't wait to see your vision!

Hmm. Looking at him more closely, and comparing him to your Saints, I think you're right. The mouth does look smaller. Maybe it's the way his lips are painted? I hope so. I'm not fond of small-mouthed dolls. Ah, well. I can still work with him, even so.

And yeah, the faceup is...not so stellar. But I ordered them without faceups for a reason. I expected that.

I think it might be the paint, K. That's why I'm waiting....to see more shots - especially owner and artist-painted! I'm getting him regardless, I mean, saint. 'Nuff said.

I did order the Saint head with my Orijean . . . and they just arrived today sans the faceup!! YAY! I'm not crazy about the faceups Dollshe has done for either head, so I'm happy I got them blank. No rush to get a faceup done though. Maybe in a few months after I've sold some more stuff. LOL!

Oh, really? I didn't know you're ordered Saint, too. Did you get the OE and the SA heads, or just the OE (I'm guessing just the OE - I don't think SA is done yet)?

What do you think? How does he compare to the original Saint sculpt? Smaller mouth? Wider jaw? Tell, tell!
