Heading into a 16.5 hour shift, in about an hour, after a 6 hour break between it and the 8.5 hour shift last night. Have also started selling plasma to supplement my income, which means getting jabbed with a 17g needle and sitting in a chair for an hour or so, twice a week, to have them pull 900-something CC's of fluid out of me. I am going to develop track marks. I also need to be careful to keep my iron levels up, because as a vegetarian (pescetarian, but that's too hard to explain to people) I'm more prone to anemia than a meat-eater, and if my iron drops below 38% I can't sell my liquids. Selling the replenishable and legal parts of my body is a plus, so that would be a bad thing.

Considered selling eggs (presuming I have some), but I don't think I'm eligible because of the PCOS. Damn. That would be a lot easier (and more lucrative) than selling plasma.

All of this so that I can get together the deposit and such for the apartment I'm moving into on October 1st, and also so I can furnish it (I spent $195 yesterday at Linens-N-Things). And maybe afford a body for Jian, if I can ever decide on one.

17g twice a week? owwwww. [Though I have heard the hormones they pump you with to increase your egg production can really mess with you emotionally. Not sure how true it is.]

Though I feel your anemia pain. I DO eat meat and I've been denied for whole blood donation many times. Apparently I should just go to the truck for a withdraw, not a deposit.

Hope your work night goes uneventful.

I do not know how you do it. Wherever your plasma ends up I imagine it will bring some of your superpowers along with it.

Try and take care of yourself!!! ♥

I don't have symbols on my keyboard to express how I feel about this.

I know you're young and healthy and so forth, but.

BUT

ZOMG poor Jen at work is a pescetarian too. You should hear her trying to reason with the agents. Hully CRAP.

I'd sell both ovaries of they WORKED. But then, maybe I'd want them. *sigh*

Wait, no I wouldn't. I'D HATE THEM EVEN MORE.

I've considered selling my eggs too. PCOS, Diabetes, etc and ect doesn't deffer you from being a donor- but it may weigh against whether or not your eggs will be selected for insemination. Weight is also a deciding factor.
