In Which Rupali Wears Dreads, Zsuzsa Glitters, and Darryl (2.0) Looks Disturbingly Like Motoko

I made a dreadlocked wig for Rupali. It still needs some work, but I'm pleased with the results thus far. (Rupali wears her hair short, but in her downtime she sometimes puts on a wig with big, chunky dreads.)





I also wanted to share a photo that shows a bit more of Zsuzsa, since the previous pictures of her didn't really do her justice. These aren't great shots, but at least you can see her entire tail in the first one.





Meanwhile, Darryl 2.0 is doing a rather creepy impersonation of Major Motoko Kusanagi. That's not necessarily an entirely bad thing, because I love GitS (the movies, not that crappy television series), but it's still a tad bit unnerving. I seriously need to get this guy painted, but I'm kind of holding out until Wren 2.0's head arrives, because I'd like to send them off to an artist together. (He also needs eyes. All the ones I have that are close to the correct color are two or more sizes too large for him. I've settled on two possibilities, Aisu² "Lilac" and EA Gumdrops "Lavender," and will probably buy both of them just so I can decide in person which ones I prefer.)

All three of them look terrific--not friendly, any of them, but impressive! I love how Rupali looks in her dreads. I *always* love seeing Zsuzsa and that's a particularly nice look at both her tail and her jewelry and tats. And that's a nice wig on Daryl; he ends up looking much cooler and more remote and possibly hostile than the other two, which is interesting. I like his wig a lot.

You got it spot on, m'dear. Cooler and more remote and possibly hostile pretty much sums up what I saw in the Asa sculpt that made me think it would work for Darryl (it comes very close to summing up Darryl himself, in fact). Well, that and just fucking gorgeous, because really, he's genetically engineered; yeah, he's gonna' be handsome.

It's amazingly hard to get shots of Zsuzsa that include her tail. She's so goddamn big.

IRL, Zsuzsa would be pretty overwhelming to look at, too. I mean, the size and length of her tail makes her at least a third bigger and longer than a regular human.

Yeah, Davlin comments on that when he first sees her in The Precognist. He refers to her as "massive."

Oh, Rupali! ^_^ Love that hair with the long t-shirt. Plus, it frames her face nicely~.

How long is Zsuzsa, all told? Can she be used as a dolly sofa in case of emergencies?

And will Daryl be doing any crossplay for the fans? XD

Heh, funny question, that one. When I first got him I had a terrible time finding pants that fit him - his legs are long, his ass is, ah, pert, and those thighs are pretty hefty. So he spent his first two or three weeks in my home in the little white skirt that Rupali is wearing in those shots up above. And it looked good. @_@ So while I'm not a fan of the skirtboi aesthetic as a general rule, I'll probably end up putting him into a short skirt again at some point, if only because those legs are made to be shown off. I should have used this body for a ballet character.

I haven't actually measured Zsuzsa, but I know her tail is around five feet long, maybe a tad more. And yes, she could definitely function as a sofa.

What body did you use for Darryl, if I may ask?
I'm having amusing thougght that Zsuzsa would only allow sofa-seating for somebody she likes a lot, or else somebody she's flirting with and lulling in a terribly false sense of security, and then, well, that's all she wrote.

Darryl is on a white skinned Fairyland Feeple65 body, and it is amazing. Seriously, the engineering and finishing on it blows me away.

Good lord. That's Darryl, and several obscure things are more clear, now, in my head.

Can't wait to see him faced up. Zsuzsa and Rupali are also marvelous - it's great to see more shots of Z's face, and kudos on R's amazing wig.

Yeah, I keep pulling him out to just stare at him, all agog. This head is just so...perfect for him. I can't decide on a faceup artist. I was thinking SDink, because she does awesome things with Iplehouse heads in particular, but I'm worried her style might just be too glamorous for Wren and Darryl. I've also looked at navci and overlordu on DoA, but I'm still torn.
