My only edit-query: in my perception of this timeline, the Strangeways stuff that went down is only about 15 months old. Emberley and Eric are about 36. My sense of Wren and Jian...they're hard for me to place, agewise.
I don't know why the reference to Darryl feels so haunting, but it does. Positively uncanny.
