^_^ I'm glad you enjoyed it, Asuka! It's got a rather complicated backstory, which you probably don't want to hear. The characters were the subject of my NaNoNovel for 2007, if that gives you some idea of how large and complicated (though this scene was not involved in that, and actually wouldn't even come until the third book - it's a planned/in process trilogy). Still, it's very good to know that someone whose writing I admire likes this.
