Eyes for Sale! 16mm & 14mm

These are stock from the convention that didn't sell, so I'm offering them online. I will also be listing some 12mm eyes and a small number (4 pairs) of 10mm eyes within the next day or so. (If you would like to purchase some of these 16mm or 14mm eyes, but think you might also like some of the 10mm or 12mm eyes, just let me know and I will reserve your selected 16mm/14mm eyes for you until the 10mm and 12mm eyes are photographed and I have them posted for you to peruse.)

Information about my eyes can be found here. All of my eyes are hand-made by me in urethane resin. I use premium quality materials.

Note that in some of these pictures, some of the eyes appear to have pupils that are not round. That is due to the angle of the photo and the light refraction in the dome (like when you put a straw in a glass of water and it looks like the straw is bending). All of my eyes have perfectly round pupils, which are themselves domed. This gives the eyes more depth and a "following" quality not seen in eyes with flat pupils.

Some eyes have bubbles, but unless they are obtrusively placed, very large, or there are lots of them, I don't discount for that. Bubbles are almost never visible when the eye is in a doll. If the eye has more than one or two very small bubbles, they have been noted in the description, and bubbles that I consider objectionable have been taken into account in the pricing.

All of my 16mm & 14mm eyes are $50 per pair, unless marked otherwise.

Shipping is $6 domestically for up to 10 pairs of eyes. All eyes come packaged in black plastic double-walled jars to protect them from light when in storage and to protect them during transit.

Pair #1 - 16mm - Dark "Blood" Red (slightly darker than photo)


Pair #2 - 16mm - Reddish Brown (slightly darker than photo)


Pair #3 - 16mm - Pink (photo is pretty accurate)


[ON HOLD] Pair #4 - 16mm - Dark Brown (darker than photo)
This pair is $45. The surface of one of the eyes is not as glossy as I would like. It got some tape residue on it when I removed the stem, and when I cleaned it off there were some minor abrasions to the surface.


[SOLD] Pair #5 - 16mm - Green & Gold (slightly darker than photo)
This pair is $45. I remember that they have a flaw that bothered me, but I honestly can't remember what is was, and when I inspected them I couldn't find it.


[ON HOLD] Pair #6 - 16mm - Light Blue w/ Bold Veining (photo darkness is accurate)


Pair #7 - 16mm - Dark "Midnight" Blue (darker than photo - these look like that gorgeous dark blue glassware)
This pair is only $40, as they ended up with a small flat spot over each pupil.


Pair #8 - 16mm - Pale Blue (color is fairly accurate, perhaps slightly darker in life than in photo)


Pair #10 - 16mm - Green (a bit brighter in person)


Pair #10 - 16mm - Dark Amber w/ Orange Highlights
This pair is only $40, as they ended up with a small flat spot over each pupil.



[ON HOLD] Pair #11 - 14mm - Yellow
These eyes are 14mm, but their iris is sized for a 12mm eye. They were made specifically for people who want the look of a smaller eye in their doll without the gapping at the edges that using a smaller eye will cause. A couple small bubbles, nothing really bothersome or noticeable.


Pair #12 - 14mm - Light Orange (these are brighter around the rim than the photo appears)
These are $45. One eye does have some bothersome bubbles around the pupil.


Pair #13 - 14mm - Green w/ Shimmer High Dome (more yellow-green/bright than in the photo)


[SOLD] Pair #14 - 14mm - Purple (less blue and more purple than in the photo, also slightly lighter than in the photo)
This pair is $45 due to some minor surface flaws.


[SOLD] Pair #15 - 14mm - Light Dusty Rose-Brown w/ Slight Shimmer
This pair is $45, as one of the eyes does have some bothersome bubbles near the pupil, though they aren't noticeable unless you're looking closely.


[SOLD] Pair #16 - 14mm - Light Blue/No Pupil
This pair is $30. They were made from whites with some inclusions in the backs, so while the front of the eye (the part visible in a doll) is fine, there are some inclusions around the outer edge of the white part.


Pair #17 - 14mm - Orange w/ Shimmer
This pair is $30 due to a surface flaw on one eye, near the edge of the iris. The other eye is does not have a surface flaw. Basically, you're buying one eye and getting the other one for free. If the flawed eye is turned so the flaw is under the eyelid, it cannot be seen. There are some minor bubbles in both eyes.


Pair #18 - 14mm - Dark Blue (darker than photo - these are gorgeous, the photo does not do them justice, they look like midnight blue glass)

Awesome beauty.

You know, that dusty rose brown might be a great color for Martin Vail - maybe with some veining in...I'm not sure if he'd be better with 14mm or 12mm, though...let me know what you think. The gold ones are beautiful too. Pondering...

Does Martin currently wear 14mm or 12mm? If you're thinking you might like a smaller look for him, but are worried about gapping, I could easily do a pair of 14mm eyes with the 12mm sized iris (like the gold ones above). How bold were you thinking for the veining? Bold like Pair #6, semi-bold like # 4, or more subtle/blended, like pairs #1, #3, #8, and #11?

I don't offer custom orders outside of my friends, as a side note. ^_~ Because you guys are awesome.

A "following quality" would amuse me just a little bit too much. Maybe creep me out too. I'm not sure which. What gorgeous creations you've made. I think you've done such a good job here. I could never create anything like this. I'm amazed by what I see. The colors are very intense and smack you around for full attention.

...The idea of Darryl with his unsmiling lips having eyes like this in his head makes me just a bit twitchy. That he could follow you around the room with his eyes...

Oh, he has the very first pair of eyes that I made! They're actually no nearly as nice as these - I was using a different resin, which was kind of nasty and yellowed and stuff, and I also have since made entirely new eye molds and changed how I do my shaping and doming. But somehow, they still suit him. They yellowing thankfully isn't bad enough (yet) that I've had to replace them. He doesn't quite look jaundiced. ^_^;;
