Well, we've got two sets of arms so far. =D I'll most likely be making some changes to the balls of the upper arm pieces for the new set, just to make them aesthetically a bit easier to parse, but so far they're working out well. The extra weight is making it a tad difficult to keep her standing, but some glue sueding in the ankles (or a pair of boots) and/or wiring in the legs should fix that. The arm additions took me about three hours so far. I'll leave her like this for a while, to get a feel for the new set of arms and how the jointing is working out before adding the third pair.

At the moment, Luke Alan's head is riding on her, since her head isn't here yet (hopefully it'll make it by around my birthday). And he's got his own wig on, which totally doesn't fit her character.

I still have to finish modding her genitals, too.

What do you all think of her body so far?

Yes, I am. ^_^ I'm using a Dremel, some swimming goggles (people don't mention it, but resin dust in eyes = THE SUCK), and a small stack of airborne precaution mouth/nose masks I ganked from the hospital. I'll probably also be using some sandpaper at some point, but haven't gotten there yet. Maybe my Cerra-Kana knife.

That is awesome! Looking great so far! Are you revealing what head Hideo has yet? Or waiting till she's done? But nice job! I hope when the 3rd arm sets on she stands okie >3 Adding more on since it seems you wanted feedback. It looks good so far. Of course if a real human had arms like that it would look out of place so that's fine XD. But the forth pic really shoes the good placement of the arms. Look all level and everything. The groves that you made too also very nice. So all in all, very nice and I can wait to see her done!

I probably won't reveal the Hideo head until it gets here, mostly because I'm not 100% sure yet that I'm going to be using it for her. I won't know until I have a chance to mess with it a bit, on the body.

Hah hah! Hideo is the leader of the gang that Hiiroshi and Daiichi run in. She's also Aiko's girlfriend. I wrote a short piece a while back, that she appeared in. It was posted here and entitled "J4CK3D." Hiiroshi was the central character in it.

Can I blame my kids on my lack of connection? For some reason the synapses misfired on me. I'll go back through it again and revisit the idea.

And the technicalities of putting that thing together just....traumatizes me. You're too patient for your own good. I can almost imagine you there, hovering over the torso with this fiercely concentrated look. Amused, but intense. With a scholarly appreciation of what you're doing occasionally flickering on your face between the spouts of random cursing moments - which I am sure comes now and again. And if they don't, then you've recently been booted up to sainthood and that's just not right considering that if you get that role, then why the Hell am I left behind in Hades?

I don't think there was much scholarly appreciation, but the rest sounds about right. Oh, except you missed that moment where I sat back and put my hand down and the floor bit me. Yeah. In the ensuing excitement, the Hideo's torso somehow crawled up the inside of my pants leg. Which was interesting. I have a hole in my finger from something (we were never able to figure out what) that was in the carpet. XP

I'd have one of those panicky moments where I nearly killed the body trying to shake it out in shock. Thankfully you're a little calmer than I am. My nerves have been shot lately. Oh good grief. You're always getting hurt. What am I going to do with you? The something-in-the-carpet -bit- you. Bless your heart.

At least the something in your carpet didn't give you a creepy sensation or was like the spider incident that happened tonight while I was being the assistant in the Wednesday night bible class for the fourth graders. I came very close to cursing in the middle of their prayer, but instead had to quietly excuse myself. You see, I had this issue where a large spider-like object crawled up my leg and I didn't even notice it on my body until it dropped down inside my shirt and attempted to fondle me with its legs.

It's frightening how in control of a situation I can be when I have to be. However, when I got into the parking lot, I screamed and nearly stripped to get the thing off, not caring that there were cars going by or that the teenagers were going to their class. >_O Now you be sympathetic for me.

With most dolls, the arms are strung separately from the torso/legs/head (and with dolls whose arms AREN'T strung separately, changing the stringing to so it IS that way often solves all kinds of posing issues). Hideo is the same way. I've run three loops of elastic through her so far, and when she has the third set of arms, she'll have four loops. The extra elastic for this second set is lower than the elastic for the original arms, and set pretty snugly against the inner front of her torso piece. It doesn't interfere with the other elastic loops at all. The third set of arms, if I put them on the way I currently plan to, will be slightly higher up on the torso than the second set is, and set farther back, which should make the elastic sit against the inner back of the torso cavity and keep everything free to move around easily. This positioning scheme should also allow the arms to all have the most freedom of motion, and even to all lay flat against her torso without too much angling (the original set of arms should sit right between the second and third sets).

Posing her is going to be interesting. There are so many hands to keep track of already! I can't imagine what it will be like when she has six...

"he" is refering to the head using the body, which is for a female character. the head is for a male by the name of Luke Alan, she just stuck his head on the body for kicks. :D

Correct. Though really, gender here is a bit more ambiguous than even that. The body is a 19Boy body from DreamingDoll, but I'm modifying it to be female. The character that will use this body is Hideo, and she is female sexed, but male gendered (she has female genitalia, but identifies as male psychologically). Her head is not here yet. The head on the body in the pictures belongs to a character named Luke Alan, who currently has no body, so he got stuck on the body just so I wouldn't be taking pictures of it without a head.

So technically, in reference to the body, either the masculine or feminine pronoun could be considered appropriate, especially at this point, since the genital mods are not completed yet.

Indeed! The scientist who built Hideo scrapped several similar projects before succeeding with her, because of that very problem. She's very, very good at multitasking.

hummm, am I providing the Hideo head? Or is it the other head we were talking about? If its me, then I should be hearing about it the next 48 hrs or so. If its not for Hideo, then you still need to decide what to do with it. Ah, and where are you going to attach the next set of arms? Looks freaking cool.

Nope, you're not providing the Hideo head. I'm still considering my possibilities on that one. The Hideo head is coming from elsewhere. I don't think I've told you about it yet.
