Advice?

Okay, I'm going to get one of the Hydrangea jackets from 4D for Darryl. I've been debating for about two months now, and finally just decided to suck it up and go for it.

But now I'm facing a choice. Damnit.

Do I get the black one or the bronze one? (There's a white one, too, but I hate the gold buttons, and I'm already working on getting him an all-white suit, so...)

On one hand, I've been trying, somewhat successfully, to inject more color variation into my doll wardrobes (because, let's face it: I'm sure as heck not goth, and aside from perhaps Umbrae - being from a world that has Gothic time period inspiration - and Aiko's lolita-tendencies, none of my dolls wear 'goth' clothes. But they DO have a lot of black clothing. A lot of it.), and the bronze jacket would do that. On the other hand, Darryl's a heck of a lot more likely to wear the black one. And I'm not sure how I feel about the texture of the fabric on the bronze one. And with the black one, I can pass it off as Darryl's "formal wear" for when he has to make Public appearances as Talon's bodyguard.

<_<;; Thoughts on this? (Also, I am online right now because my teacher sent out an eMail this morning canceling class, and since BOTH of my first two classes are with her, that means I don't have to leave for school until 12:40. More NaNo time! WIN.)

Bronze will photograph better.

I agree. It will show the angles and form of the body better and be a lot easier to shoot in lower light levels.
While I really like the formality of the black jacket, it looks more like an old-fashioned naval uniform or a formal suit jacket. It is more intimidating.
Sometimes bodyguards need to be able to look like everybody else and blend in a little more than that. The bronze would look more contemporary, for clubbing or informal occasions, for looking like some minor official instead of The Muscle. It'd be much better for that Scarlet Pimpernel thing of looking, erm, ever-so-harmless.
